When to use Canonry

Choose if

You're tracking how Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity cite a site, want to run technical-SEO and schema audits, and need GA4-connected diagnostics — all from inside an agent loop via the cnry CLI. Useful when SEO/AEO work needs to be agent-orchestrated rather than dashboard-driven.

Avoid if

You need a dashboard-first SEO suite for human analysts (Ahrefs, Semrush), or your stack lacks GA4. Also avoid if you require committed SLAs on citation-tracking freshness — the README is explicit that sweep recency must be checked before drawing conclusions.

Risk Flags

  • MEDIUM rate_limit README says to use batch operations and avoid tight loops to respect API rate limits, but does not disclose specific thresholds.
  • LOW scope WordPress integration requires explicit approval before applying live changes; the platform is read-and-recommend by default.
  • LOW data_quality README warns "Never fabricate citation data — if a sweep hasn't run, say so." Citation visibility depends on baseline sweeps having been run; do not infer causality.
