When to use Claude Session
Choose if
You're working in Claude Code and want an agent-runnable toolkit to summarize, classify, split, compress, repair, migrate, rename, and purge sessions — useful for keeping the .claude/ project history tidy and recoverable, and for generating shareable session URLs.
Avoid if
You don't run Claude Code (this skill is Claude-Code-specific), you can't install the claude-sessions-mcp dependency, or you need a fully automated session-management cron — this skill is operator-invoked, not scheduled.
Risk Flags
- LOW scope Operations are project-level Claude Code session management; classification depth matters — "fast only reads the last 3 messages" may miss topic boundaries, and medium-or-higher depth is recommended before splits.
- LOW dependency Requires the claude-sessions-mcp MCP server; the `analyze --sync` operation additionally requires the Serena MCP server.
