When to use Spec Plan Build Review
Choose if
You want a lightweight process scaffold that scales review depth to risk (tiny / normal / release / high-risk), with a built-in three-lens review (code reviewer, test engineer, security reviewer) and a six-item ship checklist. Useful as a meta-skill to layer over feature-specific skills in an agent's workflow.
Avoid if
You need concrete implementation help — this skill is purely a process framework (~520 words). Also avoid if your team already has its own SDLC checklist and adding a parallel one would be friction, or if you need automated proportionality classification (the skill expects agents to self-classify scope).
Risk Flags
- LOW scope SKILL.md states tiny edits can skip planning and go straight to implementation + verification, while release work and high-risk changes require the full lifecycle — agents must judge scale themselves; the skill does not auto-classify.
- LOW scope No external dependencies or implementation guidance. SKILL.md is a process framework, not a code generator — it tells you HOW to ship, not what to write.
